At DMD Development Inc., president Dale Drumm not only oversees the business but also personally supervises and coordinates all projects under construction so your wishes and desires are directly conveyed to our field tradesmen and subcontractors and not to a second in command for implementation. Mr. Drumm is also a highly skilled craftsman himself, is familiar with almost all details of residential construction, and has an astute eye for quality workmanship and construction details and doesn’t just watch others work, but pitches in to get it done. By this approach we are not taking on multiple projects at the same time, we focus on one main project, complete it and move to the next. Our goal is to complete all projects as fast as we can so that our clients can move in and enjoy their new or renovated homes as soon as they can.

DMD Development Inc. and Mr. Drumm have California licenses as both a class B General Contractor and as a licensed Real Estate Broker. This allows us to be directly connected to current housing market trends and further assist our clients in any of their real estate needs.

Mr. Drumm, president of DMD Development Inc. is a graduate of Michigan State University where he received two Bachelors of Science degrees: one in Building Construction Management and a second in Biological Science. Mr. Drumm has been directly involved with real estate development and construction since 1972, with experience in the construction industry ranging from laborer to coordinating the development of major commercial and residential projects. Mr. Drumm’s goal of founding DMD Development Inc. in 1989 was to enable him to give a more active and personal touch to the projects under his direct control, allowing for quality craftsmanship, while developing a direct relationship with subcontractors and clients on a more personal level.

Prior to establishing DMD Development Inc., Mr. Drumm was Vice President and Partner of Crocker Development Company and Regional Construction Manager for Prometheus Development Company.

His responsibilities at Crocker Development Company in Los Gatos, CA, included land acquisition, project design and construction, and overall supervision for all projects under development. During his seven years with Crocker Development Company he coordinated the development of 648 residential apartment units and 11 self-service storage facilities under the name “Crocker’s Lockers”. While at the Cupertino headquarters of Prometheus Development Company, Mr.Drumm was Regional Construction Manager where he managed the development of approximately 1,475 residential apartments, condominiums and single-family homes in California, Oregon, and Washington in addition to several office buildings in the San Francisco Bay area.

Prior to moving to California after graduation from Michigan State University, Mr. Drumm worked for several general contracting firms in the Lansing, Michigan area overseeing commercial and residential projects and supervising framing, concrete and trim carpentry crews.
